The Zhuhai Institute of Urban Planning and Design hosted the first cross-border academic experience called “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area University Joint Workshop” to study the area in depth.
This seminar joined nine Chinese leading universities on the field: the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the City University of Macau, the South China University of Technology, the Huaqiao University, the Shenzhen University, the Tongji University, the Sun Yat-sen University, the Guangdong University of Technology, and the Guangzhou University.
Ar. Nuno Soares participated in this special lecture series with a presentation titled “Towards a Living Waterfront: Conceptual Urban Designs for Macau”. The experienced architect and teacher has been studying the Macau area for a long time, introducing relevant new urban design ideas.
The panels discussed the development and planning of cross-border areas in Dawan District and it was attended by around 100 teachers and students.
