Imagining a city as a white canvas ready to be painted by everyone who lives in it might be a metaphorical concept, but CURB – Centre for Architecture and Urbanism tried to give live to that idea. Curated by Ar. Nuno Soares, the “Illustrated City” exhibition and workshop invited everyone, from kids to grown-ups, to partake in the creation of a long mural at the company’s gallery space.
The local artist Winky Lam Wun Keng conceived the panorama via her unrestrained insight about the city and its inhabitants. This way, everyone was able to paint Macau with their own colors. The event was sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, supported by Ponte 9 – Creative Platform Ltd and also the New Woman Development Association of Macao.
