The AAM together with the ARCASIA Committee of Architectural Education (ACAE) organized the “ARCASIA Roundtable on Architectural Education in Asia” in Macau on the 25 September 2016. Under the theme “Future Challenges and Visions”, the roundtable debated the way forward to improve architectural education standards and cooperation amongst ARCASIA countries. The event was convened by Ar. Nuno Soares, chairman of ACAE and member of the board of directors of AAM, and brought together 26 experts from twelve ARCASIA member countries.

Amongst the distinguished participants, AAM had the honor to welcome the president of the UIA International Union of Architects (UIA), Ar. Esa Mohamed (Malaysia), the president of ARCASIA Ar. Sathirut Nui Tandanand (Thailand), the vice president of ARCASIA Ar. Shim Jae Ho (Korea), former president of ARCASIA Ar. Pei Ing Tan (Malaysia), president of CIALP Ar. Rui Leão (Macau), and AAM GA president Ar. Ben Leong.
