The Asian Congress of Architects (ACA) is a major regional conference held every two years, organized by ARCASIA. The 2018’s edition happened at the Meiji University, Tokyo, Japan, and for four days in September it brought together architects working, studying or teaching all over Asia.

Ar. Nuno Soares, the Acting Chair at ACAE and Vice-president for ARCASIA Zone C, did a special session on “Architecture Faculty Training Workshops – Designing the Design Studio”. At the Congress happened Official Committee meetings, including an ACAE – Committee of Architecture Education symposium on “New Trends of Mobility in Architectural Education and Practice”.

Besides the development of bright, new architectural ideas, the ACA offers a complementary cultural program, so that the participants get to know the place, experience the local cuisine, music and make this a “memorable convivial occasion”. The host institute for the conference is selected from the member institutes and the next ARCASIA ACA edition will be held in Bangladesh.
